    Question Split a Beam?

Is there a way to split a beam? I can't seem to use the split tool the way I want. I have a steel framed building with several large overhead doors. I am trying to get the doors framed in. I have already set up the rest of the building. Any ideas? If I need to attach an image of what I am talking about, please let me know.

It is definitely possible to split a beam using the Split tool. I just did it now.
