    Unhappy Calculating Areas

Does anyone know which Autodesk product, if any, can transfer calculated information (on a layer) from an AutoCAD dwg to an Excel spreadsheet or something similar ?

MAP will do this very painlessly and output direct to a file.

I believe that ADT will do it as well,
only therein you will need to create and define
the space boundaries. You would have to cut
and paste the table into Excel.

Architectural desktop will let you export your table directly to an Excel spredsheet using the scheduling tools. You would Use space objects to define the areas you wanted calculated, Room Tags to identifiy what Areas you wanted to add to your table (Called a Schedule in ADT) and you use thoe selected Space objects to generate the schedule, which depending on how you customize it will display whatever information you want it to. Once the schedule is generated in ADT you export it directly to an Excel spreadsheet.
