    Default Annotation symbol, again

I am in the process of creating office "standards" for symbology. I have searched the internet looking for an answer on whether or not you can create your own elevation symbol, or if you have to use the one built into Revit. The little bit of information I found has indicated that you have to use Revit's symbol. Is this true? And if so, do you know if the ability to create custom elevation symbols has been submitted in the wish list?

Yes, this is true. Your only option is to use the ones built into Revit (square or circle).

Yes, I think so as you can see on this post from the archived whishlist:

But this is sitting there since October 2004...

I am new to this wish list stuff, but if it is in the archived forum, does that mean it has been incorporated in the newest version? If not, would it be wrong to add it again?

I'm pretty sure that this has been wished for every since the very first Revit version was introduced years ago. Sure, submit another wish, but I wouldn't look for it to happen any time soon.

You must submit a wish for every wishlist cycle. Once the current wishlist voting is complete, the list starts all over and your wish will be lost in the archives. until submitting it again for the current cycle. Sure would be nice to see a "renew wish" function.

Thanks, I wish they would copy the wishes that were not adopted.

Well... I suspect they don't do that becuase you would end up with a very long list of wishes... that most had no real long term value. (or at least not all that applicable to the masses). A renew wish fuction would help save time in one way but might also negate the intentions of the non renewal policy of the wish lists. Maybe it should be reserved for the original poster of the wish.
