Default Error after closing Revit 2009

Lately I've been getting an Application Error message a few seconds after closing out of Revit 2009. It has the red "X" symbol (typical Windows error message) and reads:

The instruction at "0x0114ef7a" referenced memory at "0x00000020". The memory could not be "read".
Click on OK to terminate the program.

Looks like what happens when you do something that causes the machine to run out of memory. However this is AFTER I've already closed the program.

Any ideas? I'm on a quad-core machine with 4 GB RAM.

Please file a support request on this. I've been seeing this since the beta, but support is telling me they aren't seeing it.

I see it here too. Every single day, when i close Revit at the end of the day.

Dual core Xeon, 4 gigs ram (3.25 visible on winXP32) and 3gig switch enabled.

Runs fine, but gives me a memory error shutting down Revit.

I don't get it when Rvt simply crashes.

We were getting this after first upgrading to R2009, but I don't think it's happened in a while. We surmised it had something to do with upgrading projects/families.

Fortunately, it just seems to be more quirky 2009 behavior and doesn't appear to affect the actual use of Revit.

(yes, we did file a support request, but they didn't seem to know what to make of it and after about a week, it was closed).

Take a look at the Processes under the Windows Task Manager. What I find sometimes is that when I close Revit even though Revit disappears off the screen, the Processes still show Revit is running with a lot of memory usage. Slowly the memory usage will go down and Revit.exe will eventually disappear from the processes list. Then if needed Revit can be started again. I also have a dual quad with 5 GB RAM.

This doesn't really solve the issue other than making me be more patient!
