    Angry Workspace transfere

I use architecture 2008 and yesterday had to replace the harddrive. I have a copy of the data from the old harddrive and want to transfere the workspace I had designed to my reinstalled version. I "think" I understand the cui transfere proceedure.

My problem is locating the customized workspace on the old/original version so I can transfere it over. Where are these files located?

Seems like I spent forever getting the workspace the way I wanted it and really really do not want to start from scratch again.

    Thanks

    Dan

Load the old CUI file in the right pane. Expand the Workspaces node and drag-and-drop the desired workspaces into the CUI on the left, which should be the current CUI.

When you save a workspace it is saved to your main CUI file.

I do not use Acad Architecture so I am not sure where the file is saved by default but it is probably in a location similar to that for Civil 3D.

    C:\Documents and Settings\<user name>\Application Data\Autodesk\C3D 2009\enu\Support

This is assuming that you did not change the default settings.

If you check the location of the main CUI in your current install it should help you find the location of you old file.
