    Default Apparent Load vs Wattage

    Gang,

Would someone explain what the difference is between Apparent Load and Wattage? I have a lighting schedule that has both fields. One example is that a light with 64VA of load is translating to 39.05W. Why the reduction?

    TIA -

What is your power factor parameter on the electrical connector set at?

The load parameter passed to electrical connectors is apparent load, which is the unit that takes into account the leading and lagging current of an inductive (motor) or capacitive circuit.

Apparent load is the unit you generally use for load calculations. Real power (or true power as Revit calls it) is the power rating of something, not taking into account the reactive component.
