Auto-pan while tracing

LDD 05 with Raster Design 05 - I'm looking for anything that can help me stay on digitizing (tracing) mode over a scan as I approach the margins of work (model) space, were I don’t have to pause to pan to keep going in the direction of the contour……. No, I can’t use the vectorization tool because the original from which the scan was created was a blue (background) print (remember ammonia blue print?). So the scan is literally awash with potential “magnetic” points of direction…… No, Raster Cleanup Invert does not help because every 1000 ft there is a (scan) grid line calling, tempting the vectorization tool. Please help, I’m doing a reservoir that’s over 20,000 ft long and 60 ft deep – in other words a lot of pausing to pan. Im looking for a “tool” that can sense the direction I’m going and pan in that direction so i can just keep cliking over the contour line. Thanks

I think this can be controlled by first defining a larger
work area within raster design and adjusting your mouse properties to
auto-scroll.

Thanks - your suggestions works. Auto-scroll is a bit unwieldy however.

Try adjusting the sensitivity of the auto-scroll of the mouse,
there should be a setting in there to adjust the number of 'steps'
or similar.
