Question Multileaders Not Showing Up in Previous Versions of AutoCAD

    Hi folks,

I have done a search on this issue and came up with nothing useful, so I am posting it here.

I Use ACA 2008 and use Multileaders. Our consultants have only AutoCAD 2006 or earlier. The converted drawings open up in AutoCAD OK, but, the multileaders come in as blocks....and when exploded to edit, they totally disappear.

Can anyone help with this please?

    Thanks!
    Marv

Hmm. When I explode mine, they don't disappear. Not the best way to do it, but it would work. I wonder why yours are disappearing. Are all the layers thawed and on?

Yeah, I figured you knew enough to thaw your layers!! Just thought I'd mention it before someone else did!

Well, I have 2009, so of course it will open correctly. However, when I explode them, they don't disappear. They become really really tiny though! Check it out. Zoom in on it. The leader should still be there.

    Yea...I saw that....this is nuts!
I couldn't zoom in far enough.....shouldn't have to do all this just for a leader......

    Thanks anyway....

I think it may have something to dowith the fact they are using the new feature of annotative scaling. I know 2008 is the first version to support this so maybe saving back eliminates the new feature enabled leaders.

Yes - I think you're right. When you save them back, they show up on the "annotaive" created layers.....but they're blocks and when you explode them to edit them, -poof-.....it won't even let you refedit them.....

    Thanks

I concur! It's probably the annotative scaling. Try creating one that isn't annotative and see what happens.
