Smile AutoCAD LT 2009 working with floating viewports in Paperspace

I've just had AutoCAD 2009 Lt installed on my computer at work. It looks nice with the black toolbars but i'm having a real problem. When i go to model space and draw a viewport, how do i stay in paperspace but not active in the model viewport? Before i would just press paperspace but now i can't. Is there's no button for it and i know some smart a55 will say "type it in like i've been doing for 20 years......" no good, i need to know which button to press

Same button is there, but you may have to turn it on by right-clicking in the status bar.

I don't have LT loaded, but since it's available in base AutoCAD I would imagine its still in LT as well. On the bottom bar in AutoCAD (your Status Bar - right above the traditional location of your Windows start menu bar yet below your command line) that button should exist. If it doesn't, right click in the gray area of that bar and select Paper/Model from the list. This is also the area where your status toggles (snaps, etc) exist.

    Good luck!

You will find that you have to right click on the status bar to get the Paper Space command every time you open a new drawing. Very annoying.

Not on my machine. If it's on, it's on forever until I turn it off.

My status bar never has paper space tab unless I manually turn it on. If I open an older drawing, it is off. If I create a new drawing it is off. I turn it on and reopen a drawing it is off. (This is all in 2008.) If it will stay on in 2009, then I am pleased. This was never a problem in 2006 or 2007.
