Default Layout is B&W, Model Space is Color - Why?

An existing file opened, editted and was plotted using a B&W ctb file in first 2009 and then in 2008 AutoCAD is only B&W in the layout (like a perpetual B&W plot preview - a clue?) The model space shows the true entity colors.

What gives??? Is anyone else experiencing this issue?

    Thanks,

    Clint Hill

Yes. Some others have had this problem. It's actually a feature. Go to your Page Setup Manager and edit the current page setup to uncheck the "Display Plot Styles" in the upper right corner.

If you cannot see this check box or the list of plot styles, the right portion of the Page Setup may be hidden. There is a button to the right of the "Okay" "Cancel" buttons that looks like a ">" or "<".

CONVERTPSTYLES will convert the named plot style table(what you currently see) to a color-dependent plot style table and vice versa.

No offense, but what does converting the drawing from stb to ctb or vice-versa have to do with the display of a paper space layout?

None taken. I wasn't thinking too clearly that day. Muscle relaxers are a b#*ch. I looked at it this morning and realized I was thinking something else.
