Question "Place from Vault" into a new assembly, but via Inventor API? is this possible?

    Hello:

Sorry for the newbie question if it's obvious, but I've tried searching and found nothing about accessing the Vault via inventor...

I want to create an assembly and insert sub-parts that I got from Vault. I can do this by "getting" the files from vault, inserting them (locally) into my .iam file, and checking the .iam file in, but Vault doesn't seem to recognize that the sub-parts are already in the Vault!!!!!

I figured the best way was to "automate" inventor and ask it to check the files out, but there doesn't seem to be any mention of Vault in the docs (other than using the Vault web-based api).

    What am I missing?

    Thanks in advance!!!

So, can I assume that this ISNT possible? Or does nobody know? or am I asking in the wrong forum?

    TIA
