    Default Parametric Parts Help

I recently completed the Parametric Parts Creation walkthrough that buzz posted in the Tips & Tricks section ( http://forums.augi.com/showthread.php?t=74929 ) but have a question regarding the custom sizes:

When I go to add the Crazy Fire Damper into a drawing, in the Add MvParts dialog, the Custom Size part just says "False" and there is no information listed in the Part Filter tab. The same thing happens when I try inserting the parametric Air Terminal I made when doing the Creating Parametric Parts tutorial provided with MEP.

I'm hoping to be able to create parametric parts and create custom part sizes in the Part Filter tab, similar to what I'm able to do using the Generic Sidewall Diffuser provided by M. Schmid here: http://discussion.autodesk.com/threa...sageID=5718673 (about halfway down the page) (also provided as an attachment in this post)

Is there some extra step(s) I need to complete? or some properties I need to edit/add?

Thanks in advance for your help,
    -Brad

    Hey Brad,

    Try this:

    1. Go to Content Builder, and modify the "Crazy Fire Damper" part

    2. Click on the Button to the right of the stop sign button (for "Options")

    3. Make sure the box for "Custom Sizing Flag" is checked

    4. Right-click on "Size Parameters" and click "Edit Configuration"

    5. Set "Visibile" to "True" for the values you want to see (i.e. Height and Width)

    6. Save and close

    7. Beer-me!

Let me know if this doesn't work for you...

    Have fun!
