Default Revit 7 - structural wish list.

Here is a short list of what I hope to see in Revit 7 as far as structural tools are concerned:

    1. Foundation tools - step ftgs and walls, piles, pile caps, anchor bolt placement, etc.
    2. Framing tools - more intuitive tools to place columns, beams and bracing especially off the horizontal and vertical planes.
    3. Detailing tools - "Steel - connections, splices, bracing, welding, decking," Reinforced Concrete - rebar, anchor bolts, "Wood - simpson strong tie catalog".

Will we see this - probably not. Will I be disappointed "damn rights". Why - its been a life time coming. Time we got beyond drawing pretty pictures of walls, doors, windows and schedules. A building amounts to nothing without structure.

    Regards

    Yo,
All these issues are ones that I know have been raised with the Revit developers, and that they are working on. How much we get in Revision 7 remains the question. But by this time next year I believe all these issues will be resolved.
