Default Switching from Solidworks to Inventor

I last used Inventor back in 5.3. I have been using Solidworks for three years, and am having trouble learning how Inventor wants me to sketch and model. Is there a way to dimension to the origin point in Inventor, or should I be sketching differently? I am using Inventor 2009. If anyone has any tips for the transition from Solidworks to Inventor please let me know.

This was written for r2008 but most is the same. In Inventor you must turn on the Autoproject Origin or do it yourself.
