    Default all mixed up licenses

Can anyone guide me in this problem?
We currently have 2 seats of inventor 9 and two seats of inventor 9 pro.
So that’s four seats in total.
When we open Autocad 2005 it steals an inventor pro seat! And when we open on inventor pro seat it steals an Autocad seat!
Why can we not open 4 Autocad 2005 seats?
All the licenses are on a server (LMTools)
Should we install Autocad 2005 as standalone?

You cannot have 4 AutoCAD on 4 PC's and 4 Inventors on 4 other PC's.

    Hi

Check out the following Technical Document on the Autodesk web site under the Knowledge Base section (this one might be a little more relevant seeing as the Autodesk® License Manager went through changes with the introduction of AutoCAD 2002) -

ID: TS67112 - Reserve network licenses for users or hosts

    Have a good one, Mike

Unhappy Re: all mixed up licenses

All, I have more information on my little problem!
Our cad support vendor says that if you install autocad 2005/ mechdesktop from the inventor 9 pro disk, then it will take an inventor pro licence! If you install AutoCAD 2005/ mechdesktop from the inventor 9 standard disk, then it will take an inventor standard licence! Because my seat was installed from the pro disk, I open up 2005 and the pro licence comes with me! I am not popular at the moment.
