Default Grading Objects should be able to bench slopes

I wish that grading objects could bench slopes like the road grading tools can. Benches are very easy to include when grading with roadway cross sections. Grading pads is a different story though. My proposed surfaces look weird because my road slopes have beautiful benches every 30' in height until they hit my pads and disappear.

Are you adding the required additional Target Regions within
the grading objects you use to define your pads?

No I'm not using any regions. Since you brought it up I can see how regions could be used to manually add the benches. You can stop the grading object from grading to existing at the point where the bench should begin, then let it run straight across the back of the bench until you want it to pick up grading to existing again. Then add another grading object off the first and repeat the process.

I'd still love it if it was automatic though.

    But thanks for the idea!
