Question Converting blocks with object data to Civil3d points (2008)

I have attached a 2008 format civil3d file with some blocks with object data and I want to convert these to civil3d points, but I want the points to use the object data of the block (number, description and elevation) applied to the points. (The blocks are already at the correct "Z" elevation.) I am able to get to Map functions through civil3d if needed. Please do me an addtional favor and be very detailed in your instructions on how to accomplish this. Thank you in advance for your help and replies.

The drawing attached in the previous post is an 2007 version, but the work was done in Civil3d 2008. Sorry about the confusion on my end.

I don't know for sure, but I don't think there is a way to convert a generic block into a civil 3d point without finding some third party program. My first question would be where did these blocks come from and can you take the original information and output them to something civil 3d understands?

Talking Re: Converting blocks with object data to Civil3d points (2008)

Thanks for the reply. I got some help from my manager here at work. To make a long story short, I exported the object data (using the command: DATAEXTRACTION) to a .csv file, then I imported the points from that file back in the drawing using the comma delimited setup. I knew there was a way to do it, but I kept drawing a blank.

Just FYI, your blocks do not have object data, they have attributes, two completely different things. The way you accomplished it was what I was going to suggest.
