    Default 2D Electrical Symbols

I’m just about to create a 2D electrical symbol library and legend and as usual I’m looking for the input and opinion of others.

I’m only using 2D symbols as they will not be seen in 3D views so I am considering two ways to go about this, firstly as a detail component or as a floor based component.

I was wondering what other thought about this, the best way to go about it, am I missing something obvious.

    Regards, Paul.

If you allready have symbols you use in dwg format, just open up a new elect. family and import your dwg symbol, then explode it and change the lines to "revit lines", and you now have a schedulable elec. symbol.

I have a library of Electrical Symbols in Detail Component format (with Annotation Family legend for the sheet). These are residential symbols, but you're welcome to them if you wish. The problem is that the Zip file is 1.5MB and I can only upload 1MB as a Zip file. PM me with your email and I'll send them to you directly if you're interested.
