Solution Tips / Rollover Tips not displaying

After installing ACA 20099 last week, I soon decided I did not like the roll over tips and turned them off (I believe by setting ROLLOVERTIPS to 0). Today I noticed that the Solution Tips were not displaying either. Steps I've already taken are:

-setting ROLLOVERTIPS to 1
-resetting it to 0 and then back to 1
-restarting ACA, both with ROLLOVERTIPS set to 1 & 0
-verifying all settings in CUI for Rollover Tips
-verifying all settings on the Display tab in Options

My tool tips work fine for toolbars, pallettes and the ribbon. Interestingly, the MEP 2009 seat we have can not turn off the tips using ROLLOVERTIPS, but two of the AutoCAD 2009 seats that I've checked work as expected.

Go to options>AEC Editor. On the left hand side, near the bottom, there is an area to contol the display of solution tips. The options are while drafting and / or while plotting and publishing.

Thanks. That was something I had already verified, but today I deselected it and that turned off the visibility of the Solution Tip Icon. re-selecting turns it back on.

So to clarify my problem- the Solution Tip Icon shows there is a conflict, but no dialog box pops up to give me any information. Similarly, no dialog box pops up to show the designated properties even though ROLLOVERTIPS are turned on (set to 1).

Oh, you didn't mention it in your original post. How long are you hovering over the conflict symbol? It takes a few seconds for the solution tip to pop up. Just a thought.
