    Smile mental ray and residential

    Just wanted to share some pics for a house i am doing. This is the first with the new version, but the improvements to lighting, both artificial and global and really inspiring. I am definetely enjoying working with the new version.

    Very nice work, i never thought revit can do that good. Can you share your rendering, exposure settings, would be of great help. Thanks

    Truthfully, it has little to do with rendering settings, mainly materials choice and tweaks, lighting settings etc... the renderings are set to high quality (makes noticable difference to glass and reflections), no use of light portals (seems fine without), few clouds, image exposure settings vary...for example entry view;

    exposure 11, highlights max bright, midtones 1, shadows 0.2, white point 4000, saturation 1.1

    Not sure if that will help.

    Some weird stuff going on with the timber materials there but the water and lights look great!

    Nice renderings..but is this Mental Ray thru 3DStudio? or did you model the water in the pool? It looks like there is a displacement on the water....

    Anyways, nice renderings regardless...becaureful with the texture map of the stone in the 2nd rendering...
