    Unhappy My DB needs help!!

Someone please put me out of my misery!

Attached is a title block I quickly put together. I have it working the way I want it too (a few debugging required here and there) but the North Arrow is a major blood pressure riser! I want the North Arrow to move to the left of the A4 Sheet, left of the A3 Sheet and Top Right on both A4 and A3 and then also an Off feature.

It is the OFF feature I can not work out how to do. I am trying to just scale it down to a ridiculous size so it can not be seen, and this seemed to work, but only when it was in the default location of Top Right. When turned off from any other location the text (N, E, S, W) would not reappear (or scale back up).

Can someone please help me solve this problem before I lose my mind?

Using a visibility state is a no win situation.

    Many thanks in advance.

here's my attempt to help you out. it's not perfect, but it shows what you were asking about. you have to play around with it to get the final fixings right.

let me know if this helps at all or not.

As I understand DBs, the only way you'll be able to turn it off is to create an "off" vis state. So you would have to have a vis state for it being on and then one for being off.

Or, you could just put the block on it's own layer and control it that way,

I don't know if that helps you.

    Many thanks to you both.
I have tired creating vis states, but I found its a no win situation, I can get it right with one sheet size, and then its wrong for the other and vice versa. So all I have done is add scale to the block, OFF scales it down by 0.001, ON scales it back up to 10.0. To get around the text not scaling back to the correct location, I just added manual move rather than a linear. I would prefer to use linear, but the issue of text not repositioning after it has been scaled down, really done my head in!

So if any one can manage to make this work using a linear with the scale that would be great!!?!
