Default ACAD Shut down on open

I'm having a bit of an issue and it goes like this...
There is a DWG file that is closing cad during its open process in 2007. It opens fine In 2006 and 2008. I ran the AECTOACAD command and it still responds by shutting down. Only this time it opens the file then shuts down a couple seconds after, with a fatal error stating - FATAL ERROR: UNHANDLED ASSESS VIOLATION READING 0x73x1ffff EXCEPTION AT 1002940dh - We reinstalled 2007 and it still does the same thing. Even wierder is that on other workstations it responds just fine in 2007. Any assistance would help both me and my IT from pulling our hair out. Thanks.

On the machines that it does open, have you tried recovering and Auditing, and also once open -purge it including regapps?

Or even wblocking it out to a new clean file.

I did the drawing recovery and audit to both the original file and the file after an AECTOACAD, and the problem still exists. I then tried the block out option, and the files stills acts the same. I feel this may be an unresolvable issue. Thank you for your help.

are there any xrefs in the file in question?

many times problems reside in xref's and are inherited. make sure you run purge, audit, purge regapps, exporttoautocad on the xrefs as well.

    try this..

Try turning all layers on, unfreeze, unlock, make sure nothing is hidden then copy..

but use the drop down.. Edit, copy...........copy all..........

open new drwg.. save as Test..........then close and see if that resolves the prob. , if it does....then save it as the other drwg.. and delete the Old Prob. File.......
