door between levels

I have door that extends down into the foundation wall of the level below. In elevation the door does not cleanup the foundation wall. How can I get it to show correctly.

Make sure you select the wall that hosts the door (the one on top of the foundation wall) and select Attach > Base > Select the foundation wall.

Also if you join geometry of both walls, the door should then cut both walls.

Humm. Never got it to work by joining the walls' geometry. As far as I know you have to attach the top or bottom (depending on the case) of the wall that's hosting the door to the wall that you want to be cut by the door...

hmm odd, yeah I guess that's what you have to do.

But get this, if you then detach that wall from the wall below, the door still cuts both walls.

Or you could just host the door by the lower wall and it will cut the wall above.
