Type BACKGROUND, select SOLID, pick in the lower coloured bar, type 255,255,255.
Click OK, OK.
(Ain't Help wonderful).
What you said works for like version 2005 but I am using 2008 and when I try it I just get a unknown command reply. Any ideas for 2008 or 2009?
A2008 -
Pull-down - Tools>Options>Display>Colors>pick
OR
Use View Manager (type VIEW) (you need to create a named view first), pick Background override ...
I am at the same problem and the background command doesn't work in 2007 either. the help file says the render background is the color set for the drawing area, but regardless of what I set the drawing area, the render remains black. could this be a bug in the versions? maybe I need a service pack
Hmm. Doesn't work like it says on the box.
As a last resort, put a 3dface or a solid at the back of the geometry and apply a suitable colour to it.
