When using the catalog editor, you have to open a catalog first (confused me the first time I used it as well).

Catalogs on my machine are located at: C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Autodesk\ACD-MEP 2009\enu\Aecb Catalogs\US Imperial

You have to then click inside one of the folders (e.g. MvParts), and then open the catalog file.

    Good luck,
    -Brad

Have you turned on the display of hidden files and folders on your computer? The Application Data folder is initally a hidden folder in Windows XP, so you will not be able to see it in Windows Explorer or when navigating in a "select file" dialog box.

David made a good point about the hidden files. To show hidden files/folders, in Windows Explorer, click Tools > Folder Options. On the View Tab under Advanced Settings, make sure 'Show hidden files and folders' is selected.

Alternatively, incase your catalogs aren't installed in the same place as mine, you can do a search of your entire computer for " *.apc " That should (hopefully) find where your catalogs are located. **Make sure when you search, to expand 'More advanced options' and select 'Search hidden files and folders' (assuming you're using Windows XP).

If it's a case that the Catalog Editor isn't letting you open the .apc files once you've found them, then that problem is out of my league.

    Best of luck,
    -Brad
