I've never posted a rendering to this forum, so now that I'm motivated to master the new Mental Ray system in Revit, I've started experimenting. Here's one. This is just the front part of a building we did a few years back. I couldn't wait to finish detailing it all, so I know that the site background stinks haha. I don't like the look of the anodized aluminum material; it looks too irregular. I think I'll stick with a brushed aluminum instead.

Nice rendering Dave. Is there a border of a different brick on the projections on the right of the building? Or is that just a tiling weirdness?

Yep, there is a border. I haven't tweaked the brick color yet (it's not correct). To be accurate I actually have to create a specific map to match the brick coursing we used in this case. At some point I'll get to it. Ahhhh, theat conjures memories Click here for an image of the overall building.

Nope! It's actually a "different" type of High School....Wunsche Sr. High School, a Career Academy. It's targeted to students that might be considering careers other than through College, so the idea is to prepare them for the working world. The campus has the feel of an R&D facility. Here's some info on it.

How did you represent that big curtain wall in your CD's anyway?
