Thought you structure guy's might be interested in this too.
Have been beta testing for these guy's with rafter+ plugin for revit and also new TRUSS+
program. Truss+ has really come along way and is due for release towards end of October.

Hey, since you were beta testing this, can you say if it gives you scheduling/takeoff quantities for the individual rafters? i.e. does it provide a number, length and mark for the rafters?

I've been watching truss+ now for about 6 months, and since they have included steel trusses also it looks very promising. I've been trying to convince our cad managers that this tool would save alot of time, it would be great if the truss+ guys would consider releasing a limited demo version or something along those lines that could be presented to CAD managers etc to show them its value. For $100 bucks it seems like money well spent, but getting this through the approval channel past someone who knows nothing about revit or how powerful this tool would be is like smashing my face against a brick wall.

I can only imagine what you're going through. Thankfully though, my boss is very much pushing in this sort of direction, and is willing to consider all options to make BIM a bigger part of our business.
Do you know if they've introduced the steel truss option for Revit Architecture?
