Question Civil 3D - PIPE NETWORKS

Quick question, maybe not such an easy answer.

With pipe networks, how can I assign an elevation? I choose to create a pipe network from a polyline. I drew two polylines next to each other one with 0 elevation and the other with -10 elevation. However when the pipe networks were created I did an orbit and both networks were at a zero elevation, while the original polylines remiained where they were. any Ideas?

i normally select the pipe, right click, select pipe properties and assign a start and end elevation in the part properties .dialog box.

or you can select your pipe network in the prospector window and select your pipes there and enter the elevations directly in the table that you see there.

There could be other ways but that is normally how i set my elevations for my pipes.
    I hope this helps
