Default Exporting to ODBC changes values

Anyone have an idea why when I export to ODBC some information gets converted from text to numerical values? For example, I am trying to analyze a database of equipment in Access, and the Level information comes out as a meaningless number instead of, say, "Level 1" as in the Revit model. Similarly the phase info is converted to numbers.

I'm thinking there's some setting I need to adjust, but I can't seem to find it.

Default Re: Exporting to ODBC changes values

Today I seem to be posting dumb questions before fully looking into the issue. I can see now that this is an Access issue, and that it can be dealt with through the design of the query. Not sure I understand the principle, as I am new to databases, but I can get to work.
