    Default vault client install, standalone

is there a way to install vault client by itself without any other AutoCAD program installed.
w would like to install vault on the engineers computer so they can search for their own files and view and print them as needed

they will not have any need to create or check in any drawings and we don't want them to.

To install the Vault client, you NEED a licensed Autodesk product on the computer.

is there a way for client or engineers to view vault files

the drafting dept uses civil 3d so we are using vault for our data management. instead of using data shortcuts and windows explorer and locking every file out manually we started using vault .. but we still need the engineers and client to be able to view and print files as needed to make future project and designs.

should i use different program for data management.

i like how the vault keeps versions and locks files out automatically

I would look into using DWFs then. They can be used to view the files, without them being able to edit them.
