    Question Integrated Project Delivery

Anyone have experience with moving toward/fully using IPD? ( Integrated Project Delivery)
If so, how does Revit/BIM work in the process? Advice?
    Experience? Resources?

    Any thoughts/comments appreciated.

    Cheers.......

You might want to check ou these links for starters. Still not a whole bunch of early adopters but I see this as the way project delivery should work and I think Revit (or BIM in general) willplay a vital role.

    Cliff:
I think you're breaking relatively new ground here. I recently downloaded the IPD stuff from the AIA web site, and have a meeting with the University of Maine to discuss (along with other things). I'd be interested in seeing some more posts from you as you move forward.
We've been trying to develop an IPD approach with a CM in the area as well. They are very interested, but it's all still very new.

You might want to interview Turner Construction and Hntb they seem to be the leaders in truely integrate project delievery in the US. There is an Architect(Wesley Benn) in Austrailia who led a class on this at AU last year and they were doing some great work involving the entire project team(owner, arch, contractor, subs etc) from the beginning. You can search his name and find alot.

I'm following this blog using my reader and so far it has been very interesting to watch the IPD process at work with Autodesk as a client.

We've been doing true Design-Build for a while now, good to see the industry finally realizing what a horrible delivery method traditional design-bid-build is.
