Default Autocad Civil 3D Land Desktop Companion 2008 Images

We recently switched from 2004 Land Desk Top to 2008 Land Desk Top Civil 3D Companion…. And one of the things I have not been able to do is get the Raster Design Images to work as a pull-down menu …. I need to geo-reference images and they have to be transformed through Raster Design…. When I loaded Raster Design 2008 it automatically was placed as a pull-down menu on my 2008 Land Desk Top and worked fine but not on my 2008 Civil 3D Land Desk Top Companion…..which is what I use all the time… Is there a way to do this…

    It works fine here.
Have you tried loading the menu manually?

Use the ._MENULOAD command and load:
    c:\documents and settings\username\local settings\application data\autodesk\productname\version\language\support\aecco.cui

    (items in blue may vary)

That's the problem, when you get to autodeck and then the product name, it is not there....2004 Raster is there but not 2008.... That was the first place I went to....2008 is found under C:/Program files only and I cannot find a aecco.cui file.....I did a search for all the aecco.cui files that were on my computer and none of them were related to 2008.... except under program...and when I menuload that, it puts image up there alright but it says unknown command when I pick it.... so I am at a loss....thanks

Sounds like ARD2008 is not installed or if it is, then a repair is needed.

(Also: make sure hidden and system files are shown in Windows, when you are looking...)

It sounds like LDC (Land Desktop Companion) may have been installed after Raster Design. In the control panel, see if it is installed for LDC. If it isn't, reinstall. If it is, uninstall and reinstall.
