    Default Tee/tap settings

It would be nice to have a setting available to set the default tee/tap angle to the main. I'm thinking of piping systems mostly, but could apply to ductwork.

We specify that branch piping is to be connected to either the side or top of the pipe. We try to make sure that there is enough room for the branch piping to connect to the top of the pipe.

Making this happen in Revit MEP is difficult. If I try to connect a pipe that is higher than another, Revit defaults to offseting the pipe down so that the tee connects in the horizontal. In order to rotate the tee to get a vertical connection, you have to be in section view. Over the course of a project, this is painful to cut a section every time a tee needs to be rotated.

I'd like a setting that could set the default angle for tee connections from main to branch.

Also as I posted earlier (http://forums.augi.com/showthread.ph...894#post891894), right now it doesn't seem like Revit can handle anything other than multiples of 90 degrees rotation on tees.

Or a different type of tees would be nice.

Proper smooth transition tees with a shoe.
