    Can anyone tell me what this is for - the file is very small

    whoaaaa never seen anything like that before! Keep all FYI comments but warn of bloat... LOL almost looks like some kind of easter egg you found. What prompted that?

    I just opened a project that contains only drafting elements and up popped the dialog.

    Took me back a bit.

    It looks to me like it could be a note that a programmer put in there to remind himself to create a warning and it never got created. Just a guess...

    I had received this message as well during a training seminar for Revit MEP 2009. The software engineer had no clue.This was at an Autodesk Training facility.

    Still have the journal file for that session? Might take a look to see what else it says. What Steve says is probably true, a trapped error that didn't get its proper dialog message. Looking at your screen capture it looks like a lot of little line segments and Revit usually warns when many line segments are used as a performance issue. It is probably related to that.

    Why not? Revit writes to a journal file for the duration that the program is running. It doesn't create separate ones for every file.
