    Default simple plotting question

I know this is a very simple and may looks a bit silly question on Autocad plotting. But ironically I am a quite an expert on Revit and forgot most of basic knowledge on Acad. I hope someone kindly to help out on these basic plotting issues.
Here is the situation, I do contract drafting for architects using Revit. I can export Revit drawings to any color settings to Acad. And client will give me ctb or pcp files for their plot style. I wonder how I will use their ctb or pcp files? Where I can see through these files how they assign the pen width information (the line width associated with different color ID)? If I need to create a new ctb or pcp file or modify the existing files, how to do that? I also need to associate their ctb or pcp file into the plotting out to PDF, should I just simply import ctb or pcp file in?
I hope this question is simple enough for someone just quickly give me some hints as I have a urgent project I don’t have time to go through Acad menu for the plotting issue.
    Many thanks in advance!!
