    Default Permission to edit element...

When attempting to change visibilty graphic settings on a worksetted project, users are occasionally getting the following error message:

"Permission to edit element cannot be obtained. Changes will be temporary and will not be saved."

The error does not tell the user why they do not have permission. What causes this error?

Could be that your local file needs to reload latest, could be a user is already borrowing. Are you using the Worksharing Monitor?

What Dan said. Youve got more than one user in the same view changing VG settings. Is this, perchance, the default 3D view? Or a floor plan everyone needs to work in?

I advocate making everying generate their own *working 3d* and *working floor plan* view so that the users stay out of each others pockets...
