Default ACAD 2009 tool's colors & Windows colors conflict

Several of us in my shop change our windows color palette for light text on dark backgrounds. This is similar to forcing the model space to dark background and light color objects, but for every program.

The problem is in ACAD 2009 (but not previously releases). It is forcing some colors and letting others be dictated by Windows. Where this is a problem: ex 1: the Menu Browser's submenus are white on white; ex2: The Properties bar's text fields are black on black. Tools and menus with similar display properties have similar problems.

Can this be turned off? Or is this a bug that Autodesk needs to fix? The Workspaces setting for AutoCAD Classis has the same bugs.

Please note, Mr. Moderator, I experience the same problem in Augi's site (black text on black background) - I had to create this message elsewhere and past into here. I have to ^a in boxes to see what's in them. And I cannot read any buttons on Augi's blog either.

It sounds like you have a display card/driver problem.
I've never seen black on black in AUGI though I have in acad (not A2009).
