    Default JIT Debugging Error Message

I was working in 2009 Autocad and I was customizing my ribbon buttons when I got this error. I hit continue and when I closed the cust. window I lost my ribbon, my menu's, pretty much everything. When I would go to load the stuff back I would get this error message again. Any help here? How do I keep this from happening again? I have reinstalled Autocad, but I would like to prevent this from happening again...I lost all my work I had done customizing

In the attached PDF, the text after the image is what it says in the text portion of the image.

Sounds like the CUI file was corrupted. Nothing you did, just poor programming from Autodesk.

Save often and make a backup of your CUI changes.

If your CUI becomes corrupt, you can find a virgin copy of the menu in C:\Program Files\AutoCAD 2009\UserDataCache\Support - copy it to C:\Documents and Settings\username\Application Data\Autodesk\product\version\language\Support

    (where the blue items vary...)

Thanks that is great advice!!! It is twice in the past week that we have had a message come up talking about JIT Debugging. Before that we had never seen it. Thanks again!

Starting with AutoCAD 2007 you can simply right-click on any of the OOTB CUI files and use the Reset option instead of the manual copy. The Restore option restores the CUI from the BAK file.

BTW, do not edit the Ribbon unless you have at least Update 1 installed.
