How do I demo part of an existing wall? It's so easy in Revit with the split tool and demolish tool. How do I show this in ACA 2008?

How do I demo part of an existing wall? It's so easy in Revit with the split tool and demolish tool. How do I show this in ACA 2008?

You can break the wall using the break command. Then, you can create a demo wall style, cleanup definition, and layer and change the demo wall to that.

I use wall styles that reflect the detail of the structure then just break the wall and the change the properties of the wall to be demolished to "standard". No need creating a new style.

We do keep it simple. Our standard tool kit includes styles for existing to remain and existing to be demolished, eash with its own display configuration. Such wall styles are of user set width and appear with designated line styles and wieghts.
