    Default Text Orientation

I have unchecked the "keep text readable" option, and all of the text in model space is readable from either the right or bottom of the screen. However, when I create a viewport and rotate the ucs within that viewport, the text rotates to horizontal. Why is it rotating, and what do I need to do so that the text will not "auto-rotate" into the horizontal position?

    Default Re: Text Orientation

The text will automatically rotate to match the viewport rotation, but since you have "Keep Readable" unchecked, you can manually rotate the text on the sheet by activating the viewport and rotating it there. you could also place your text on the sheet, instead of the view, that way you wouldnt have to worry about text rotating. hope this helps
