    Question Groups: Best practices?

In our project, we are saving groups as files to allow the groups to be used in different models.

What are the best practices in terms of placing the origin so that when the group is modified on its fils and then reloaded on the model, the origin is not lost and the group doesn't reposition itself?

Should we group all elements ON the group's file as well and name it differently?

What experience have you had with this topic?

    Thanks for reading

I dont think there can be any *one rule* for it, other than hold the origin to the pertinent direction. If youre building a group that butts up against something, have the origin at that something, so adjustments to its size or modeling dont shift it away from that something, etc...

We use them for everything, and love them...
