Default Changing the layer of objects in blocks

in a file i am working on i have 50 some-odd blocks of apartments. in these apartments there are walls, which are all drawn on the wall layer an-wall. i need them to be on an-wall-intr-unit. is there a way to do change them all programatically or do i need to open each block and edit the walls however many times they show up?

*edit - it occured to me this may not be the right forum. sorry about that. and i am using ACA2009

Can you just rename the layer an-wall to an-wall-intr-unit or maybe look at merging the layers? Or do you have other things on the an-wall layer that you want to keep?

there are other objects on an-wall that we need to keep. i do like layer merge though. it gets used a lot.

Have you looked at the remap object layer tool under format > layer tools?

i can see that being useful, but the layer keys in this drawing arent exactly set up well. not that they are set up well in the first place but still.

while not as effortless as i was hoping for, i set up a macro with the action recorder to select all the walls in the block (in block editor) and switch them over the required layer. not ideal but it cut out a couple manual steps.
