Question Sheet Index & Table Cell Styles

Using the SSM to insert a Sheet List Table on the Cover sheet for a project works great, but I'm having a small problem when people add drawings to the set. I have created a subset cell style in the table style for the Discipline headers and manually applied it. When a discipline adds a drawing to the SSM, the row is added for the sheet number and title, all sheets that are below that are shifted down one row, but the formatting for discipline headers does not shift. This means that the sheet, not the subheading, is bold and underlined. Mean while the discipline information has been shifted down one row and is formatted like the sheets. Any suggestions?

    Thanks,
    David Raynor

Attached are before and after pictures. I have added a Null drawing at under the first subheading.

I don't think you are going to have any joy. Updating the table does not insert new rows in the middle of the table, it shifts all data down while adding new rows at the end of the table.

Most likely, you are in model space. You can only insert & update the list in paper space.

I have a few suggestions that may or may not work for you...!

First.....add sub-categories to your sheet set for the disciplines STRUCTURAL, PLUMBING, etc. and group your drawings into the appropriate categories.

Second.....create a table style that has a special cell style such as Data, Header, Subheader, etc. with the text style, color, cell margins defined and load that table style so you can select it as the style for your table list.

Third.....click the check box to include sub-categories in the table list before you create the list.

After the table list is generated select the subheader cells and change them to the special cell type you created in the table and they will automatically change.

Hopefully this should work OK for you...!
