    Default Symbol Library Handouts

We have all of our symbol libraries and prototype files on pallettes. Quite easy to access and use.

    My question is....

Is there an easy way to assemble the library blocks to a set of sheet files for hardcopy printing and distribution? I understand that this feature exists in MicroStation, but I am looking for a AutoCAD 2008 solution.

What I've done is edited my source libraries (the .dwg) to have all the content placed and labeled, with the layout(s) set up to do as many letter-size plots as needed.

Even better, I use the model tab to place/label the objects I need on my project's symbol legend sheets, and XRef those into out boilerplate symbol legend. I add additional objects/labels directly on the layouts for the user handouts.

    Cool Re: Symbol Library Handouts

    Thanks

I'm looking for an automated way to do exactly as you are saying. As I previously stated, I have seen a MicroStation routine to assemble all the drawings in a folder to a set of letter size sheets. With that routine one could specify the number of symbols per printed page. Unfortunately, the software only functionsed with DGN files.
