Cant get the Benchmark to work with RME09?

    So some more info.

There is no Allow press and drag line to edit in the Revit.ini file
    Revit just crashes

I have tried this with the above posted MEP journal file too.
    No luck on two machines
    Windows 7 and MEP 64x
    XP Pro and MEP x32

    Edit: Late at night
We got the file to work for XP but not yet for windows 7
One issue left to resolve though is we cannot get the curtain wall to change type so we are missing those numbers. Ill post specs in the morning.

Anyone get the benchmark to work on Windows 7 yet?

    Edit:
Windows 7 issues are with the vbscript for writing the csv file, I do not know how to fix this........yet

Isn’t this a very acceptable number for a new cheap “workstation”?

We have always bought the Dell Precision models, but the new Precision pricing is way too high for us.

This XPS model is very quiet and the cheap graphics card does not create any trouble for Revit. The box is not as solid as the Precisions and it does not have the large space inside, but who cares…? OS is Vista 64-bit Home Premium, but since we do not log inn to at Domain server (just Workgroup) we do not need the Professional version (and then save more money). And for the first time ever, I did not add 3 year Dell ProSupport (the salesman was not very happy for that) but I do not remember I have ever called support or needed to replace any parts, so what’s the point of paying for something we do not actually need…

I think this XPS model is quite nice!

    Regards
    Joakim

Has anyone created a 2010 version of Phil's benchmark file by any chance?

The 2009 benchmark works if you expose the 2009 UI in 2010. And to be fair you'll want to upgrade the families to 2010 first - otherwise the families will be upgraded during the benchmark.

Also just benched one of the last 32bit machines that I was building here and it scored a 241.
I rebuilt my monster last week and after all the overclocking and tweaking I got this on the new hardware running on Win 7 x64:

3 opening and loading the custom template
10 creating the floors levels and grids.
22 creating a group of walls and doors
41 modifying the group by adding a curtain wall
18 creating the exterior curtain wall
    10 creating the sections
10 changing the curtain wall panel type
11 create 3d view and render
    1 export all views

    126

That is the 3rd fastest in this benchmark correct? I killed my previous bench with this new setup I'm running!

    Now that's just teasing!!

I know nobody's supposed to know how to do this, but maybe you could drop a cryptic hint? INI switch? Sounds like....
