Question Space Plannning in AutoCAD & Access

I am trying to link an Access data base to AutoCAD using dbconnect. I have had some success in getting data attached to a p-line, but can't figure out how to get the drawing to update the data if I update the data base or vice-versa.

What I am trying to do, and have seen with 3rd party software is assign room locations to the drawing where I can update names, extensions, etc. I want to be able to quickly change names without having to go into the drawings and change each one manually. Something along the lines of what CADIntegrator does with the old Span-FM/ IFM/ FacilityCenter. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
