I'm trying to figure out the difference between [Cut] and [Projection] for Model and Symbolic Lines, can't seem to find anything in the help describing the difference.

In the Door family creation tutorial is says to use [Cut], but when I open up a door from the Revit content library they use [Projection].

    I'm confused.

Could somebody please describe the difference.

    Thanks.

Cut lines represent any object cut by the cut plane elevation set in the view range dialog found in view properties.

Projection lines represent objects shown in the view that are not cut by the cut plane.
