    Default Browser Organisation

    Hey there,

Basically i'm creating a standard view title for a job i'm working on and I want to be able to put a subfolder under the section views. The reasoning for this is that i'm naming the sections (for example) S2330 - Section 1, S2331 - Section 1 and want to be able to be able to remove the sheet number and still keep the section numbers unique.

I realise I could go through and name them e.g. S2330 - Section 1, s2331 - Section 2 but if i need to insert another section into S2330 at a later date i'd have to go back through and rename all the sections that come after.

I'm hoping that it tis possible to create a subfolder. I saw 'Browser Organisation' under Settings but had issues when it came to sorting the groups. Is there another way of doing this.

    Thanks for ya time

    Rob.

One way to create an additional group is by setting up a new section types, but this is just a means of sorting the existing views and Revit will still not permit multiple "Sections" with the same name regardless if their types are different.

I would recommend keeping the sheet number within the view title and using the "title on sheet" parameter to display the desired title, however you will still need to manually change the view name and title on sheet if the sections are moved.

Thanks mate. Good advice but since i'd already started using text for the titles might just stick with that afterall. As much as i love Revit, it's bloody annoying hitting these walls on occasions.

    Cheers anyways.
