Hi,
I have a problems with doing "save as". The pop-up is not showing up even though filedia is 1.
When setting filedia to 0 I can save via the command prompt
Open pop-up is working ok.
Are there any other settings that can affect this?
Thanks

Try setting CMDDIA == 1... Otherwise the dialo may just be off screen, which may be corrected with display adapter settings.

Thanks - CMDDIA is already set to 1.
I haven’t fiddled with the graphic settings. I have 2 monitors and both are set to 1920X1080.
I just installed Autocad 2016 and it has the same issue. I did however migrate my settings – in retrospect I probably shouldn’t have migrate the settings.
Thanks

In vanilla AutoCAD, I have yet to find anything still affected by CMDDIA, and certainly not FILE DIAlogs (If you know of any, I'd love to know about them!).
It does still affect certain AutoCAD MAP dialogs.
@JH75
A quick test to see if the dialog is "off the screen".
When you think the dialog should be visible, can you do anything else such as move the AutoCAD cursor or execute a command?
Or are you prevented from doing so until you press ESC?
If so, then the dialog is "off the screen".
Here is how to get it back: http://cadpanacea.com/wp/?p=692

Been using either Land Desktop or Civil 3D since leaving the Military, so CMDDIA was advised as we'd typically have an 'as AutoCAD' derivative installed, which supports Map functionality... I'll see if I can find one just for you RK
To move an offscreen dialog, simply invoke the command, hit Alt+M, then hit an arrow key once, and move your cursor until you can see the off screen dialog, left clicking to place the dialog being moved.

Thanks RK,
I would never have figured that one out. Would have teared my none existing hair out.

Think of the man-hours saved across the globe if Autodesk would just fix this (it's not an uncommon problem)
They have a lot of genius programmers, and I bet they are smart enough to detect if a dialog is "off the screen" and return it back into place in that event.

I am using an Nvidia card. Their nView desktop manager application has a setting that keeps windows from appearing offscreen. Everything is centered on monitor 1.
