Default Text Orientation in 3D Views

    Hey all:

My boss has a somewhat strange and difficult request that he wanted me to look into.

Is there any way to make text that is oriented to a speciffic plan in a 3D view. For example, if I have an isometric 3D view of one of our buildings and I want to make annotation that would be flush with a wall, how would I do that?

If there is no way to do that, I'm fine with that answer too. Just need some info.

    Thanks

You can't with annotations. You could if using a model text with a tinny thickness, but be aware that the model text would show in all other views as well because it is a model element. Unless you work with filters, view templates or worksets to make it don't show in other views...

You can do it with dimensions and text, except the *text* (and the text in the dimensions) will always stay oriented to the view itself, so it wont always look right. But the dimension witness lines will be correct in the Iso.

Tools > Workplane > Set Work Plane, pick the flat plane.

Then use the text and dimensions....
